"Notice - Effective immediately be advised that it is unlawful and in violation of National, Department and Post By-Laws for any persons to solicit toys, money or any other item in the name of The American Legion, Ypsilanti Post 282, without prior approval of the Post Commander who shall seek approval from the post membership. Solicitation for funds or toys for a group called The American Legion "Toys For Kids" or similar words, is unlawful and prosecution will be sought for anyone engaging in such activity. There is only one "Toys .." program and that is the "Toys For Tots" ran by the United States Marine Corps Reserves."
